| FreeThe Exploring Neurodivergence: Autism, ADHD and OCD in the South Asian Context webinar is an interactive event designed to provide an educational overview of Autism, ADHD, and OCD, emphasizing personal storytelling and diverse perspectives. Hosted by SAAPRI in collaboration with Association of Indian Pharmacists in America (AIPhA), the webinar will explore neurodivergence, specifically discussing Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD), from multiple angles, including societal, cultural, and healthcare perspectives.
The 75-90 minute session will feature:
– Short presentations on each topic.
– Moderated Q&A sessions with speakers sharing lived experiences and professional insights.
– A concluding audience discussion for broader engagement.
Attendees will gain valuable knowledge, hear impactful stories, and receive a resource guide to further their understanding of neurodivergence.
Understanding neurodivergence is vital to advancing precision medicine, as it highlights the importance of inclusivity in research to account for diverse neurological and cognitive profiles. The NIH’s All of Us Research Program is committed to building a database that reflects these diversities, ultimately fostering equitable health outcomes for all communities, including neurodivergent individuals.
