Greater Dayton Minority Health Expo
April 27
| FreeOur APAMSA members will be conduct hepatitis education through explaining the stigmas, risks, immunization. We will also be providing blood glucose checks and blood pressure checks. Supervising our event is Dr. Grewal who will provide health counseling for any patients who had concerning screenings or needed to schedule a follow up appointment.
At the Minority Health Expo, our local chapter of APAMSA aims to provide vital health screenings and hepatitis education to individuals in minority health groups of Greater Dayton such as individuals from AANHPI and other marginalized communities. This event directly addresses specific health needs and disparities they may face as these communities often encounter barriers to accessing healthcare services, including language barriers, cultural stigmas, and limited resources. We aim to bridge these gaps in healthcare and empower these individuals to take control of their health through providing care with cultural sensitivity.
This aligns with the missions and values of APAMSA as we are addressing unique health challenges faced by the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities through outreach and education and are addressing health equity.
