Community Events

We’ll be working with a previous APAMSA national board member and now IM attending (George Nguyen, VP Membership 2018-2020) to host a health screening booth at the Festival of Mary hosted by the Saint Louis the King Church, a church that serves as a community center for the local Viet population. We hope to highlight the health issues that disproportionally affect asian populations and provide the community with resources to tackle these issues. Dr. George Nguyen is a current faculty at our affiliated institution (Banner University Medical Center – Phoenix) who has extensive connections with clinics around the Phoenix area with whom we could guide the community to. We’ll also be working with Be the Match spread awareness on bone marrow disorders and sign up participants into registry if they wish, along with AoURP.
