Our proposed event is a community-centered supply kit assembly and educational workshop supporting women and marginalized communities experiencing housing insecurity. In partnership with Rose Haven, volunteers will assemble kits with essential items such as menstrual products and toiletries for direct distribution to community members, reaching a high volume of individuals from marginalized backgrounds, including AANHPI populations.

The event will begin with a workshop focused on how health disparities affect marginalized communities, with emphasis on AANHPI experiences. Topics include barriers such as language access, stigma, and limited culturally responsive care, as well as broader social and environmental determinants of health. This component raises awareness while equipping participants to engage in advocacy and culturally relevant care.

Our team has already secured a venue, organized volunteers, and outlined logistics for both the workshop and kit assembly. To promote APAMSA’s All of Us Research Program, we will incorporate APAMSA messaging and mission into the workshop and share event materials and outcomes with our networks.
