Vietnamese American Medical Professionals Community Health Fair
May 5
| FreeThe event we are organizing entails providing free blood pressure screenings to the community along with educational resources in English and translated into Vietnamese, focusing on wellness management and mental health resources. Additionally, we will collaborate with Be the Match, an organization dedicated to enhancing diversity in the bone marrow registry and raising awareness about their mission. This event serves individuals from the Asian American community and other marginalized groups by offering accessible healthcare services and valuable information tailored to their needs. By providing free screenings and educational resources, we aim to address health disparities and promote preventive care within these communities. Partnering with Be the Match further aligns with our commitment to advocacy, as we strive to increase diversity and equity in healthcare initiatives. This event embodies APAMSA’s mission by advocating for the health and well-being of AANHPI communities, fostering community engagement through accessible healthcare services, promoting health education initiatives, and raising cultural awareness. It also reflects our values of diversity and inclusion, social justice, professional development, collaboration, and empowerment by prioritizing equitable healthcare access, addressing systemic inequalities, and empowering individuals to advocate for their health and well-being.
