Join us for the fourth and final installment of our Women’s Health Series as we explore the topic of Elderly Care. As South Asian populations age, caregiving for elderly family members has become more complex, especially with conditions like dementia and Alzheimer’s. Caregivers face challenges such as language barriers, lack of culturally sensitive healthcare, and mental health stigma, often bearing emotional and financial strain without enough support. Balancing traditional family roles with modern healthcare demands is difficult, and many caregivers feel isolated. Raising awareness about dementia, providing culturally relevant resources, and supporting caregivers with education and healthcare access can improve care for both elderly individuals and their families.
