KCSC launched the Sharing Love Campaign at the first Sharing Love 5K Family Walk held October 2015 to raise funds from the community for KCSC Safety Net Program, to provide emergency financial assistance and support to individuals experiencing a life crisis who are at risk of eviction or utility shut offs. KCSC held its 9th annual SLFW on October 21, 2023 at Carderock Park Pavillion, situated at the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal.
